It is with deep regret and sorrow that we have been informed that Andy Curwell has died in an accident whilst on holiday in Newquay on Sunday.
As a lot of our players, parents and supporters will know, Andy played with Saddleworth Rangers from a young age all the way through to Under 16's, where he then went on to play for Leeds Rhino's Academy, in fact he could have gone on to play Rugby Union at a high level, such was his talent. He had such a bright future ahead of him with not only his rugby, but academically, with University to look forward to.
Our 'Rugby family' at Saddleworth Rangers offers our heartfelt condolences and our thoughts are with Andy's family at this moment.
